1. Scope

This policy covers the personal data we process when you visit or contact us through this website. Our group and operating companies run their own websites and services, which have their own privacy notices; this policy does not cover those.

2. The personal data we collect

Information you give us. When you contact us, for example by emailing us or sending an investor or general enquiry, we receive your name, email address, and whatever information you choose to include in your message.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our hosting provider records standard server-log data (such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request) so the site can be delivered securely and reliably. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics also collects information about how you use the site, see our Cookie Policy.

This is an informational corporate website. We do not sell products or take payments here, so we do not collect order, payment, or card details. We do not use advertising or profiling cookies, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.

3. How we use personal data, and our legal basis

We use personal data to:

• respond to your enquiries and correspond with you, our legitimate interest in answering the people who contact us, or steps taken at your request;
• operate, secure, and maintain the website, our legitimate interest in a safe, working site;
• measure and improve how the site is used, through analytics, only with your consent;
• meet legal and regulatory obligations that apply to us, legal obligation.

4. Cookies and analytics

5. Sharing your personal data

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with:

• service providers who process data on our behalf under contract, for example our website hosting provider and, where you have consented, Google (Google Analytics);
• professional advisers, and public authorities or regulators, where we are required to do so by law or to protect our legal rights.

6. International transfers

Where analytics is enabled with your consent, Google may process data in countries outside the European Economic Area, including the United States. Such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards (for example the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses). Our own hosting of this website is within the EU.

7. Personal information under South African law (POPIA)

White Pearl Technology Group operates extensively through subsidiaries in South Africa. Where the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) applies to the processing of personal information through this website, we process that information lawfully and in a manner that does not infringe your privacy.

Under POPIA you have the right to be notified that your information is being collected, to request access to the information we hold about you, to request that it be corrected or deleted, to object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint. The rights described elsewhere in this policy apply equally whether you are dealing with us under the GDPR or POPIA.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your personal information, in addition to the supervisory authorities named in section 9 you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.

8. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence only for as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete it. Server logs are kept for a short period for security. Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings configured in Google Analytics.

9. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you can ask for access to the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct, delete, or restrict it, object to our use of it, or receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on consent, such as for analytics, you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting processing that already took place.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY), or to the supervisory authority where you live.

We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
